Kerry's Adventures

Well, Frank was called to "work" so I have a few things to do before he returns. Tuesday, after taking him to the airport and running a few errands, my task was to do the clean up before painting. I had a little trouble getting the upright vacuum to work for me. I had to stop every 2 or 3 minutes to blow out the filter. I became very frustrated, so I changed vacuums. I called Frank about the wet/dry vac. I ran to Wally World to get a new filter. Presto! I was able to vacuum for about 15 minutes before blowing out the filter. Word to the wise...blow from the inside out of the filter. Otherwise, you will be covered in dust. It took about 3 hours, but it is much easier to work without all the dust.

Tuesday before he left, we finished up the closet. The wall color is the second color I picked out for the entire floor. I think it looks great..in the closet.

Taylor was very helpful and painted the attic access cover for us. I think she did a great for her first big painting adventure.

Today, after I got home from PD training, I put another coat of paint the ceiling in the big room. I don't think I helped it any, so I didn't add the third coat of paint in the bedroom. After I got home from church tonight, I cut in all the corners and along the ceiling in the bedroom so that tomorrow morning I can start painting the walls. I know it is hard to tell, but this would be my third paint choice. I really didn't like the look of the closet paint, so I picked again. The funny part about that is that I chose the same color as we painted the other house we remodeled. I knew I liked this color for a reason. :)

The color is actually a little darker than in the picture. I was using a halogen lamp (more like heat lamp) which was really bright, so I think that is fading out the color a bit. The color of the paint is Wistful Beige.
