Well, Kerry and I fished for about 3 hours tonight on the Kentucky River and didn't catch a thing. I don't think we know exactly what we are doing. I got a cast net and caught some shad (minnows) but even live bait didn't work.
The boat runs great now. I put in new spark plugs and a fuel filter. The old plugs were pretty worn out. I am not sure how long it has been since they had been changed but it was a while.
I got some books on fishing from the library and am reading quite a bit on the internet so I can figure it out. Wish me luck!

Good Luck! Maybe you need to buy a fish finder or some other new gadgets.
I already HAVE a fish finder! Just have never fished before except for shiners on a red and white lure. I do believe that was over 30 years ago.
and you all don't even like fish!
I know! We don't plan on keeping the fish. We just want to be able to use the boat for more things. It is definately cheaper to buy fish in the supermarket.
